Drainage, waste and utility specialist, Quest Waste Management has chosen the Toyota Corolla Commercial van for its vehicle fleet as the business switches from diesel-powered vehicles to hybrid electric technology.
Based in Wakefield, Quest will use its new, British-built Corolla Commercial vans by sales and emergency response teams to provide on-site support across the country.
The company operates from depots in Yorkshire, the Midlands and North West and North East England, serving domestic and commercial customers across a range of sectors.
These new vehicles feature Chapter 8 livery and LED beacon systems for safe UK highway access and compliance for site visits.
The Toyota Corolla Commercial is manufactured at Toyota’s vehicle plant in Derby and uses fifth generation 1.8-litre petrol electric hybrid technology.
Available in a single version and fitted as standard with the latest Toyota Safety Sense active safety and driver assistance systems it has a 1,326-litre loadspace.
Nick Rushworth, Quest Operations Director, said: “As part of our environmentally conscious business strategy, we are striving to reduce CO2 emissions across our vehicle fleet.
“The hybrid electric Toyota Corolla Commercial not only helps us in this objective but also provides our teams with the practicality of a van based on a car design.
“These vehicles stand out with their fuel efficiency, impressive driving performance, and streamlined design featuring our company colours. They also provide sufficient space to accommodate the essential tools and equipment needed for on-site operations.
“From our initial enquiries, Toyota demonstrated a high level of knowledge and genuine enthusiasm for helping us. The entire process, from test-driving various models to finalising the paperwork, was smooth and efficient.”
