Gridserve has opened four new charging hubs with 32 new high-power chargers since the beginning of 2023 as it continues to expand its network.
A total of eight devices are located at Solstice Park, near Stonehenge on the A303, Pease Pottage on the M23 has six new chargers, while on the M4, Reading Westbound is now open with 12 chargers.
To help boost the charging network on the M40, Cherwell Valley also has six chargers for EV drivers.
The new chargers are capable of up to 350kW and are powered by net zero carbon energy.
This work means there are now 173 Gridserve high-power chargers installed across 16 Electric Super Hubs and two Electric Forecourts and the Gridserve Electric Highway now has chargers in 169 locations.
All of its chargers feature both CCS and CHAdeMO connectors, accept contactless payment and provide real-time status updates to leading EV charging maps, simplifying customer use.
In addition, last month, Basildon Borough Council approved the construction of a Gridserve Electric Forecourt in Nevendon, which allows scope for the installation of 31 EV chargers.
