About The Energyst
The Energyst was founded by The Editor, Tim McManan-Smith, and Sales Director, Steve Swaine as a specialist publisher within the energy sector providing readers with news, information, knowledge and guidance in managing energy. Originally covering utility procurement, energy/water efficiency and flexibility, it has through new launches and acquisitions expanded to cover news in the power generation sector, critical site infrastructure and electric mobility.
The Energyst publishes the market leading energy magazine for business consumers – The Energyst. Since 1999, The Energyst, formerly Water Energy & Environment, has covered the latest energy technology and strategies along with legislative and policy changes, becoming an essential read for Energy, Facilities and Building Service Managers and Directors within the UK’s Industrial, Commercial and Public Sector. With its comprehensive coverage firmly footed in economic reality, breaking news and market intelligence reports it sheds lights on an increasingly complex energy landscape allowing businesses to reduce costs and achieving compliance.
Mission Critical Power, launched in 2015 and specialises in onsite power resilience and efficiency at critical sites. The magazine looks at running critical facilities, balancing maximum uptime while keeping costs manageable. It is read by Data Centre, Energy, Facilities and Building Service Managers and Directors among others whose function is to keep a site running effectively while ensuring availability.
Modern Fleet magazine is our most recent title, launched in 2020.
The EV market is growing rapidly and while many challenges remain one thing is certain, the ownership and the need for charging facilities for these vehicles will increase exponentially. Given that the UK will ban the sale of diesel and petrol engine vehicles by 2030 organisations need to install infrastructure, upgrade fleets as well as utilising this new equipment to support the grid and reduce costs.
Decarbonising the economy is the challenge of our times. As energy and transport converge, Modern Fleet offers the unrivalled opportunity to better understand how their operations must evolve to fully decarbonise. The magazine is aimed at those responsible for managing fleet and energy infrastructure within an organisation.
The Energyst regularly publishes market intelligence reports such as The EV Report, Energy Flexibility and have produced papers on Financing Energy Efficiency, The Heat Report and many others.
We also run numerous online events throughout the year such as EV Week, Flex Week, Supply Week and many more. For further information concerning our upcoming events please make contact with The Energyst Team
